Eyes of Light

Eyes of Light is a specialized ministry within St. Luke’s Clinic focused on supporting men struggling with pornography and other sexual addictions on their path to healing and purity.

Under the medical direction of Fr. Luke Istafanous, and guidance of His Grace Bishop Gabriel, the papal exarch of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II in North America, the ministry involves several trained leaders in running its operations.

Eyes of Light offers individual and small group counseling sessions utilizing the Conqueror Series from the Soul Refiners Program. Participants of the groups explore the roots of addiction, its neurological effects, and pathways to recovery across biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions.

Weekly virtual meetings include course study, shared struggles, assigned homework, and the establishment of accountability partnerships. According to the Soul Refiners Program, initial healing often begins within 90 days, but sustained freedom typically requires 2 to 5 years within a supportive brotherhood environment.

Acknowledging the multifaceted impact of sexual addiction on individuals’ lives and their spiritual journey, the ministry emphasizes the restoration of the image of Christ within each participant.

Statistics indicate the widespread prevalence of pornography consumption, affecting various demographics and often co-occurring with mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse.

Contrary to misconceptions, sexual bondage is not solely a moral issue but also a neurological challenge, altering brain chemistry and structure.

Through addressing root causes and offering support, Eyes of Light Ministry aims to guide individuals towards lasting freedom.
